Retiring? WHAT?

SO much is happening in the world of Stampin' Up!  My brain is struggling to keep up with
all of the information AND the excitement of it all!
July 1 is the day when the NEW Idea Book and Catalog comes out.  There have been
SO many changes since January (clear mount stamps, new punch designs, new color announcement, etc)
that I CAN'T WAIT too see what is in the new catalog.  (plus is 16 YUMMY pages longer!)
SO to get ready for the new catalog,
it is time to say goodbye to some of the things in the
current 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.

So, I'm hosting a "little" Retirement Open House, at my home. June 3, 2010 from 6- 8:30  (you should be able to click on the picture above for more info, if not email me for more info).
Come for some fun, food, demonstrations, and a make-n-take and I will have lots of order forms ready. because as of June 30, the items are not available for purchase.
I will have a FULL list of all the items retiring, as well as a list of the colors that are retiring.

So come to play, check things out.  If you are new to Stampin Up, I'd love the opportunity to show you how this great company works and its great products. I Love to teach people how to stamp, and scrapbook.

I'm ALWAYS looking for people to join my team! If you are interesting in a fun, in home, job opportunity, that is fun, crafty and centered around working with people, I'd love to help you start your own business.

See you all June 3!

Next Card Club

So My Next card club is THIS FRIDAY! I've had a couple ideas in my head for a bit... but then WHAMO - I came down with STREP (they thought maybe mono too, but NO, YAY!!).  So here it is, TUESDAY, I'm scrambling to get my oldest son's final book report done... let me rephrase... I'm trying to get my son to finish his final book report finished this week and I need to get a move on for Card Club.  My ideas are pretty fun... A little gift baggy idea, trying to sort out a couple ideas I've had for a Father's Day Card (as much as I am surrounded by testosterone in my life, masculine cards are hard for me) and my 3rd idea I'm STUMPED on... gotta go play in my Stampin Room...  My 8 years olds book report will get done, RIGHT?

More Card Samples

One of my personal goals, and the goals as I lead my card club is to learn and teach new techniques.  So for this fun little 3x3 card.  I used Dusty Durango Textured card stock, Not Quite Navy Card and Very Vanilla Card Stock. Not Quite Navy Stamp Pad and a Rhinestone brad.  I used, once again, the "With All My Heart" Stamp Set.  But for the Image I used the "Baby wipe Technique.  Super fun!  My girls LOVED it.! Its a really SUPER easy technique.  Lets see if I can explain it.  Set out a piece of plastic on your workspace and place a baby wipe over it.  Drop several drops of Ink Refill drops randomly over the center of the wipe.  Repeat this with several colors.  The colors will start to 'bleed' together. That's perfect!  This becomes your stamp "pad".  Some things I learned is that normally, stampers will dab their stamp all over their "usual" stamp pad to get their stamp covered in ink.  Try NOT to do that with this technique.  Also, I would sort of try out different areas on my baby wipe, to see where I liked the best color combination. Make sure you clean your stamp each time! Don't be afraid to experiment with the choice in inks.  While I don't remember for sure which colors I used, I think I had, So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Taken with Teal, and Ballet Blue while I was experimenting with this card.

This was one of my Valentine's Cards i designed. I used Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence and Whisper White card stock, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, staple, The Scallop Trim Punch from Sale-a-Bration, and the Super cute I {Heart} Heart Stamps (I started getting clear mounted stamps!!) I used the Pink Passion, Pixie Pink and Versamark Inks

For this card, I  used Rich Razzleberry Card stock, Razzleberry Lemonsade Designer Paper, Embossing powder, black ink, Chocolate Chip ink, Old Olive Ink, and Rich Razzleberry Ink. All the stamped images, inside and outside are heat embossed.  I used the Things I Love stamp set.

Let's Get This Started

This is a 3x3 card I did for my monthly Card club. I used textured Bermuda Bay card stock (Bermuda Bay is one of the "In Colors" for this year) I used the  Eastern Blooms Stamp set, stamped in So Saffron and Rich Razzleberry (also one of the In Colors, but it has been made a core color as of July 1) Has a Summery feel, dontcha think?

I actually made this one for my sweetheart for Valentines this year.  I used Rich Razzleberry card stock (it's my fave!!) with some of the Designer Paper Series called Razzleberry Lemonade just barely peeking out.  I used the Stamp set "With all my Heart" from the 2010 Occasions Mini, and heat embossed stamps using Rich Razzleberry (surprise!!) and Soft Suede.  My honey loved it and still has the card on his nightstand... Aww!

For the next card, I used the Same Stamp set, "With all My Heart", And the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper Series (same peice of paper too!!) Also some Very Vanilla, and Chocolate Chip and Rich Razzleberry card stock. and a Clear Rhinestone Brad. I  used the New Extra Large Flower Punch and distressed the paper to create the 3D flower.
